object type: Brocade, silk, green ground.  The design is made up of sprays of naturalistic roses which spring alternately from wide parallel waved stems and is enriched by flowers with scalloped edges.  This sample is made up of five separate pieces placed in a way that means the patterns are not registering.  The whole piece is lined with pale pink and is made up with a curved edge as a ladies cloak.
