The rest of the fan is pierced by fine longtitudinal striations and carved below the ribbon with two oval, two smaller circular and two lozenge-shaped medallions of Chinese scenes amid scrolling flowers and foliage. Above the ribbon there are small panels containing fruit, flowers, birds, butterflies and landscapes and figures. Reverse: In the middle, a painted arrangement of flowers within a blue wreath.
