object type: Brisé fan, Ivory sticks and guards with shaped ends, pierced, painted in bodycolour and appliquéd with feathers and painted fabric (25+2). Cream silk ribbon.  Steel rivet with mother-of-pearl washers.  Front: painted below the ribbon with a continuous spray of leaves with tiny red flowers, with two rows of piercing above and below.  Above the ribbon a wide border of butterflies and birds amidst roses, other flowers, foliage and fruit is painted; the birds and the two butterflies are appliquéd with feathers and painted fabric; the other two butterflies and the flowers heads are appliquéd with painted fabric.  Reverse: undecorated.
