object type: Double leaf of cream net backed by gauze, decorated with frosted gilt-metal paillettes (pierced panels) overlaid by cut steel spangles of graduated size (bar, elliptical, two flower heads and panels).  Sticks and guards of ivory (11+2), the former pierced and set with 'silver' spangles, the latter overlaid from the shoulder by gilt metal panels decorated with frosted gilt metal paillettes.  Nail rivet with mother-of-pearl washers.  The twenty-four paillettes are stitched to the leaf vertically; the cut steel spangles are stitched on in horizontal rows.
