Shaped wood sticks and guards (14+2), lacquered red, brown, green, maroon and silver, with decoration in two shades of gold. Gilt metal loop with pale green silk cord and knot from which are suspended two white beads and two tassels, buff and maroon. Front: Thirty Chinese men and women in indoor and outdoor settings. Their faces are of applied painted ivory and their clothes of silk. Border of fish, bats, Buddhist symbols and flowers on a blue ground. Back: Main field as front, but different groups and settings. Border of fish, bats, Buddhist symbols and flowers on a silver ground.
