object type: Folding fan of double leaf paper, of assymetrical design.  The front leaf is decorated with a floral spray and butterflies, painted in red on brown silk(?) leaf; the reverse leaf design is an assymetrical copy of this design, outlined in red.  
The wooden sticks and guards (18+2) are lacquered brown, decorated in painted gold with chinese garden scenes, bordered with flowers and leaves. Brass alloy (?) rivet with a brown loop and two brown silk tassels.
