object type: Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour and watercolour on card under glass with gold mounts.  The oval box has straight sides and an almost flat hinged lid.  The lid, base and sides have inlaid borders of bright-cut decoration in red and yellow gold.  The oval miniature depicts a wicker basket of flowers including roses, tulips, iris, narcissi and auricula, on a marble slab.
