object type: Four sided fragment from the sloping well and carinated edge of a dish. Pinkish-buff earthenware or frit body coated on both sides with white slip. Painted in dark brown on the inside only. On the sloping area is a row of curved and straight lines between two horizontal lines, with above and below a broader horizontal line. On the short sloping side there are overlapping reversed shallow 'S's between horizontal lines. In the centre is an indeterminate motif with a wide V beside it
