The vessel is oval shaped with two handles, four feet, and a lion finial surrounded by modelled petals on the cover. On each side there is a spray of flowers and foliage which continues onto the cover; one flower on each side and two on the cover have pierced centres. Round the edge of the base there is a petal border. The handles, the lion, and the upper rim of the vessel are gilt. The base is unglazed.
