The underside is unglazed. The low mound base is square with rounded corners, and is decorated on top with applied green and yellow leaves, and a purple flower. The boy stands on his right leg with his left raised and bent at the knee. His right arm is held out in front and his left is by his side. His head is made separately and balances between his shoulders on the projecting ends of a rod through the neck. His head is bald, and is covered by a green and yellow cabbage-leaf hat. He has slanting black eyebrows and outlines to his eyes, pink cheeks and red lips which are open to reveal his teeth.He wears a long white robe scattered with sprays of polychrome flowers and foliage, which leaves his chest and stomach bare.
