object type: Gilt metal; openwork cast and chased panels containing filigree.  Shaped triangular upper section with spatulate hook at the back.  Attached to a hinge at the base are three linked panels; the lowest with a fitting for a suspension loop.  Either side of the hinge hang two small plaques with suspension loops.  The panels are decorated with a border of scrolls which contain reclining women, cherubs, a dolphin and birds on a filigree ground.
