object type: Baked clay tripedal plate stand. This shape is reminiscent of traditional kiln spacers, but the red-painted decoration on each of the feet shows that this object was intended to be seen. All of the stand's feet are broken at the extremity, which may indicate that this stand was physically attached to the vessel it supported.
