object type: Very long steel blade of square section chamfered with facets at the forte and decorated with double incised lines with panels containing crosses. The end of a short tang protrudes from a fragment of the original bamboo haft. The end of the haft is reinforced with a ferrule of plain steel. The steel is pitted where is has been heavily corroded then polished bright
