IDENTIFIERS ----------- id: 158349 accession number: O.41-1879 DATE AUDIT ---------- created: Saturday 6 August 2011 updated: Tuesday 25 February 2020 DESCRIPTIVE DATA ---------------- object type: Steel, with a waisted leaf-shaped blade with wings at the forte, almost flat but quite heavy, with a fuller at either side of a low medial ridge at either side and of quite rough construction. It is made in one piece with its socket to which it is joined by a moulded knop, the socket plain with a weld down one side and solid reinforcing ring also of steel at the bottom. The steel is pitted where is has been heavily corroded then polished bright. The section of socket below the ring has not been cleaned.
