Straight steel blade, of T-section with a slightly curved single edge The hilt is beaked, formed of two panels of bone, pale on the left, very dark as if stained on the right, secured by three rivets to a full-width tang which ends in a small pommel finial. At the junction with the hilt is an iron ferrule covering the transition from the narrow hilt to the broad blade
