DESCRIPTIVE DATA
----------------
object type: Dish with lotus design. Stoneware, moulded and celadon-glazed. This dish (chopsi) has everted sides and a hexafoil indented rim. The design is moulded but is not very clear because the impression is shallow and the dark green glaze thick. In the centre is a lotus flower within a double roundel, enclosed by a band of youi-heads, while the sides are divided into petals, each framed with arabesque scroll work. The flat base has five quartzite spur-marks.
