Stoneware, thrown, luted, carved and incised and celadon-glazed. This stand has a tray with flat everted rim, and a domed central support. The support is exquisitely decorated to resemble a lotus flower with carved and incised petals outside and a seed pod in the recessed centre. The tray is incised with closely-set radiating lines and the rim with a delicate and vivid flower scroll. The glaze is of fine jade colour; glossy and masterly applied.
