object type: Melon-shaped ewer and cover. Stoneware, thrown, with parts attached, indented and celadon-glazed. This six-lobed melon-shaped ewer has a curved spout, a handle with applied double loop, and a flower-shaped lid, also with applied loop. The footring is shallow. The glaze is of fine quality, opaque, glossy, and pale bluish-green in colour. The footring bears four large fire-clay spur-marks.
