object type: Oil bottle with lotus petal design. Stoneware, thrown, carved and incised and celadon-glazed. This oil bottle (kirumbyong) has a cupped mouth. A band of lotus petals is carved and incised round the shoulder with an elegant incised scroll border below. The glaze has a clear jade colour and is evenly applied. The footring has been wiped free of glaze and shows traces of fire-clay supports.
