The iron hilt is of Indo-Muslim type, with short quillons with rounded terminals, short langets with stylised bud finials, a rounded baluster grip, a thick, shallow dish pommel with a petalled washer, dome and finial. From the lower quillon comes a double curved knucklebow with a recurved acorn finial. The whole hilt is black from the hammer, and has a single rivet with copper alloy washers, corroding, passing through the quillon block.
