Stoneware, thrown, washed with iron-oxide, painted in white slip, and celadon-glazed. The maebyong-shaped vase has a short neck with a (replaced) cup-shaped mouth, its sides gently tapering from the rounded shoulder to the slightly spread base, with a low curved footring. The whole vessel is covered with iron-oxide onto which three foliage motifs have been painted in white slip. The slip has in places been thickly applied, almost giving the impression of a relief design. A glossy pale green celadon glaze with a fine crackle has been thinly applied on top.
