object type: Silver, parcel-gilt.  The shallow squared-oval bowl is attached by a facetted rat's tail to a pentagonal handle with cast finial in the form of a female term with masks of a man, woman and baby on her back.  The back of the bowl is engraved with a coats-of-arms under a banner inscribed '16 H.W.B. 14'.  The whole spoon may once have been gilt but, whilst traces remain in the bowl,  the armorials and finial have been regilt.
