object type: Silver-gilt; the spoon's oval bowl is attached by five loops on its back to a three-pronged fork.  The base of the fork's handle is hinged and the folding mechanism held in place by a slide.  The handle, which is square in cross-section, has a finial in the form of a standing warrior.  The front of the bowl of the spoon is engraved with a swag of ribbons fruit and flowers.  The base of the fork has an applied openwork plaque of scrolls and a mask.  The handle is engraved with a patten of diaperwork.  The slide is in the form of a female mask and swags of drapery.  The finial is of a cloaked warrior holding one arm aloft.
