Stoneware, moulded, carved, painted, inlaid in black and white slip and celadon-glazed. The cup has ten-lobed sides and rim and a flaring foot. Inside, each lobe is finely incised with a chrysanthemum spray and the centre with a large floret. On the outside, between a band of incised scrollwork and a scalloped petal border, corresponding chrysanthemum sprays are inlaid in black and white slip. The base has quartzite spur-marks.
