Stoneware, thrown, inlaid in black and white slip, and celadon glazed. The long neck spreads slightly towards the mouth, expands at the shoulder to the wide, pear-shaped body and narrows again toward the low footring. The body is inlaid in black and white slip with four chrysanthemum sprays in double-outlined roundels among a dense overall chrysanthemum pattern. The neck is decorated with stylised lotus petals and a band of key-fret. Another band of lotus petals encircles the foot. The glaze is of pale blue-green tone, and slightly opaque as it contains air bubbles.
