Porcelain, thrown, painted in cobalt-blue and glazed. This jar has a tall neck and bulbous shoulder and gradually tapers towards the base. Bands of youi-heads in underglaze blue decorate shoulder and foot, and the main part of the body is painted with two four-clawed dragons with staring eyes and sharp teeth chasing a flaming pearl. They are painted in a lively manner, even down to the scales of their bodies. The milky-white glaze has a tinge of pale blue, and a dark-stained crackle.
