object type: Tortoise shell, bone and silver spoon. The slightly misshapen circular bowl is carved from tortoise shell and held to the long bone handle by a silver acanthus leaf-shaped mount and a ferrule with lion's mask on the front.  Half way up the narrow handle is an engraved band of silver.  The top of the handle is capped in silver engraved with acanuthus leaves, and terminating in a silver pinecone shaped finial.
