object type: Ivory, silver, enamel and steel; the knife has a tapering steel blade; the ivory pistol grip handle broadens towards the silver terminal cap.  Each side of the handle is inlaid with a row of four silver bosses and a silver piqué work design of tulips inlaid with enamel, scrolls and geometric patterns of small circles.  The silver ferrule is octagonal.  The silver terminal is engraved with a pattern of radiating lines round a small silver knop.
