The cross is edged by twisted wire forming crockets and has a ring loop and ring for suspension at the top. The upper side of the arms is engraved and set with cabochon gemstones: a pink and a blue on three arms and two blue flanking a pink on the stem. In the middle there is a circular glass-covered compartment lined with crimson ribbon, from which radiate four gold cups, each containing a pearl. The back is decorated with sprays of Gothic foliage reserved in a green panel and a triangle of terracotta enamel at the end of each arm.
