object type: Besague, for field use. Formed of a circular plate rising to a prominent conical boss at its centre, and decorated around its edge with a file-roped inward turn accompanied by a recessed border containing nine round-headed lining-rivets.  The central boss is surrounded by three round-headed rivets with circular internal washers that retain an internal, leather suspension-tab.  Rust-perforations adjacent to the rivets have been repaired with riveted internal patches.
