object type: Steel inlaid with silver decoration on a russet coloured ground.  Of flattened pear-shape with a the pull-off stopper (A) with trefid-shaped terminal.  One side is decorated with a vignette of a cherub warming himself in front of a fire; the other with two exotic birds above an owl.  The background and stopper are decorated with Baroque scrolls and strapwork.   Tied round the rim projecting from the top of the neck is an orange coloured cord.
