object type: Solid brown and cream agateware, thrown and turned, with applied lip and handle, and splashed here and there with greyish-blue oxide colour under yellowish lead-glaze.  The pear-shaped jug stands on a low circular foot. It has a projecting lip and an ear-shaped reeded handle with a flattened kick at the lower end. There are turned bands below the rim and around the body level with the lower end of the handle.
