A lithograph on 4to-sized wove paper with a large, hand-coloured vignette at upper centre featuring a young man leaning against a classical archway, reaching out with his left hand to receive a letter from Hymen (Greek god of marriage) who appears in a cloud at lower left and holds a flaming torch in his right hand. Below, an illuminated letter begins a printed verse: "Wing'd messenger, to loving hearts / Go, with sweet Hymen's pure devotion - ...". The interior is blank. One of a series. Other numbers from the same series are: P.14347-R-L9, P.14346-R-24 and P.14346-R-25 as well as P.14347-R-L11, P.14347-R-L12 and P.14347-R-L13, which are duplicates.
