MOVEMENT: Full plate movement engraved 'Thomas Platt Fecet'. Silver balance cock, oval table and foot, both pierced and engraved with rectangular hole for post in neck, but secured by a screw (hole for pin in side of neck and post). Plain steel balance. Endless screw set-up on top plate with blued steel tracery feet to endless screw bearings. Endless screw guard missing. Silver dial on wheel with radial Arabic numbers 1 to 10 in boxes, central flower. Plain moulded fusee iron post, fusee iron spring pinned into top plate, vertical decorated end. Case bolt, curved C shaped, screwed to plate, nib through dial. Potance and counter-potance rectangular and riveted to back plate, potance with side engraved. Pillar plate with four thin Egyptian pillars with wide slots, top turned. Plate has hole for potance. Split fusee and gut, tangent set-up on top plate, barrel with two lips. Verge escapement. Short train planted anti-clockwise. BRASS EDGE: Flat plate, three holes for dial feet to fix plate, dial recessed. DIAL: Silver, thee feet. Radial Roman chapters with diamond shapes between, ladder 1/4 hour circle having 1/2 hour arrows pointing inwards. Plain centre centre with oval plaque under 12 o'clock engraved 'Platt' and one over 6 o'clock engraved 'London'. INNER CASE: Plain silver. Bezel missing, but with associated glass. Brass replacement pendant and stirrup bow. No case maker's mark. OUTER CASE (A): Brass covered with leather. Silver pin work design in centre of back and four places at the side, one under the pendant. Bezel leather replaced with single ring of pins.
