Balance cock with table pierced and engraved with a mask on the neck, table edge cut away to provide banking, foot engraved. Back of foot stamped 'SW', '8463' with small 'I.M'. Flat polished steel balance. Plain slide plate under balance with brass regulation figure registering on scale engraved on plate, scale marked 'Slow' and 'Fast' at ends. Top plate stamped '8463' on underside above the contrate wheel. Shaped fusee iron post. Polished steel case bolt, in slot, nib at side. Potance with plain foot having moulding at end, fixed by screw. Counter-potance riveted to plate. Pillar plate with four turned pillars with a ring at each end. Centre wheel recessed, third wheel bar. Stamped under dial '17, 8463' and small 'I.MC'. Fusee and chain, set-up click under dial, barrel with no lip. Verge escapement. Train planted clockwise. BRASS EDGE: Flat on plate, 'us 5/18' scratched on plate side. DIAL: White enamel on copper, three feet. Minute ring with cross minute lines and diamond shapes at quarters, radial Roman chapters, '8463' inscribed under XII. Large seconds circle above VI with cross seconds marks, long lines every 5 seconds, radial Arabic figures every 5 seconds.
