The pot has a fluted barrel-shaped body with a recessed base, upward-tilting fluted spout, and ear-shaped handle. The almost flat cover rests on a ledge inside the mouth of the pot. Its top is moulded with flutes radiating from a flower knob on a stem with two leaves. The underside of its rim and the exterior of the flange which fits inside the pot are unglazed. The sides are each decorated with a different large floral arrangement surrounded by four floral sprays and two leaf sprigs. The back of the handle, and the top and underside of the spout have a gold formal flowerhead with dots extending on both sides of it , anbd there is a gold band round the mouth and the end of the spout. There are three small floral sprays and two leaves painted on the cover, and the flower knob has a yellow centre and pink-tipped petals.
