Stoneware, moulded, cream glazed, painted in dark brown and dark tan. The figure sits with his legs crossed, his left arm placed on his left knee with a crane looking up at him. His right hand holds a scroll in his lap, with a fawn looking up at him. His head is slightly turned and he wears a tall `beehive' headdress and flowing gowns decorated in cream, tan and dark-brown.
