Grey stoneware, thrown and turned, covered in white slip, and painted in dark-brown iron pigment under dribbly, clear glaze. The high-shouldered jar has a wide mouth and vertical rim, it tapers gently to a small, recessed, flat base. The decoration is in three horizontal bands. The central band has lozenge-shaped panels containing a crane in a landscape, a rabbit in a landscape, and another crane in a landscape, with closely painted spiral patterns in the spandrels.
