Grey stoneware, thrown and turned, covered in white slip, and painted in iron-black under yellowish glaze. The jar has flattened, sloping shoulders, and a large, open neck with everted mouth rim. The rounded body tapers into a low foot, and has a slightly recessed, flat base. The slip and glaze stop short of the footrim. The iron-black decoration consists of two lozenge-shaped panels on a background of spirals, squiggles, and chrysanthemums with spiralling centres. One panel depicts two people standing facing each other wearing robes, and the other panel depicts a single person.
