Beale of Bournemouth. On the recto is a lithographed image in blue, red and white of a playing card with red hearts in all four corners and a large heart at the centre bearing the motto: "True Love". The card is entwined with a blue bow. A printed message in brown ink at lower centre: "To My Valentine". The verso of the postcard is printed with the printer's details: "Post Card / Salmon Series / Printed and published by J. Salmon, Sevenoaks, England / Correspondence / Address / Printed in England (inside stamp demarcation) / 2062. There are no written inscriptions on the card. Another valentine postcard, P.14343-R-L2, which is inscribed with the date of February 14th 1923, was found inside the same envelope. Glaisher often visited seaside towns like Bournemouth for his pottery-hunting trips. His great friends, the Dickson's also lived here. Glaisher first met Colonel and Frances Louisa Dickson around 1913 and stayed in their home at Southill, Deanpark, Bournemouth in 1915.
