Beale of Bournemouth. On the recto is a stencilled silhouette in black ink of a female figure dancing whilst holding a rose in her left hand. The skirt, bodice and sleeves of the figure's dress are cut out and backed with purple silk. On the verso is a hand-written inscription in black ink: "Feb. 14. 1923." Another valentine postcard, P.14343-R-L1 was found inside the same envelope. Glaisher often visited seaside towns like Bournemouth for his pottery-hunting trips. His great friends, the Dickson's also lived here. Glaisher first met Colonel and Frances Louisa Dickson around 1913 and stayed in their home at Southill, Deanpark, Bournemouth in 1915.
