object type: A large card of lace-paper with a chromolithographed cut-paper bouquet of flowers at the centre on embossed paper, backed with cotton lace and tied with a cotton bow around the 'stems'. The bouquet lifts up to reveal a printed verse on an oval-shaped panel with a lace-paper frame: "Oh! tell me not that friendship dies / Oh! tell me not that love can change ...". The inside of the card is blank. A handwritten inscription in black ink at upper left of the interior leaf: "6 l" (or "d"), which could refer to the price of the card.
