Central image within an oval etched frame of a lady wearing regency dress sitting in a garden bower receiving a letter from Cupid, who is clothed in a blue tunic. Etched verse (numbered stanzes) around the central image: "Peruse these lines my gentle fair, / They teem with love beyond compare, / Let not thy suitor sigh in vain, / Approve his vows, and end his pain ...
