A large 4to-size valentine with wide cameo-embossed border (as lace) with pink ground and inner embossed 'lace' frame at the centre which surrounds a collage of coloured cut-paper leaves with lithographed and hand-coloured cut-paper pink rose. A hand-written verse in blue ink at upper and lower centre: 'Thy love thy fate dear one to share / May never be my lot / But thou cans't grant this humble prayer / Forget me not. Forget me not'. The interior is blank. One of six similar cards contained in album P.14414-R, two of which are watermarked with the date 1846. P.14414-R-17 and P.14414-R-18 are mounted into the album.
