A slip paper of pink tissue is inserted behind. A circular window at upper centre contains a chromolithograph of hunting dogs with red dahlias and pink thistles on glazed paper. Mounted onto an area of slip paper at lower centre is a gilt, oval framed panel of ridged white paper printed with the motto: 'To / My Little / favourite.'. 'WINDSOR' is stamped onto the plinth at lower left. The back paper is missing. An initial 'N' is written in graphite on the album leaf below the valentine. The names 'Edith' and 'Netty' are written into the album. These names would probably account for the single initials of 'E' or 'N' written on the album leaves adjacent to a number of the valentines in the album.
