value: One of a collection of eighty-three Anglo-Saxon, Merovingian and Frisian silver pennies, late 7th/earlier 8th centuries. Single finds from the well-known productive site near Royston, Herts.  These coins were found individually over the period 1979-late 1990s.  The collection has been on deposit at the Museum since 2000.
