Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). A scene which anticipates the Coronation of William IV, for which there was a limited budget. At the far left, A Beefeater leads a hired cab containing the Dukes of Cumberland and Sussex. King William IV and Queen Adelaide follow behind in a hackney coach. Brougham sits on top next to the driver wearing his Judge's wig, the mace at his feet and holding the Purse of the Great Seal on his lap. An Omnibus follows behind at the far right which contains the FitzClarences, the illegitimate children of King William IV; Augustus (the parson), Frederick (in soldier's uniform) and Lord Munster (George FitzClarence, 1st Earl of Munster) who leans out of the omnibus window to speak to his brother, Frederick. Lord Grey leads the group of pedestrians seen in the foreground, followed by Lord and Lady Durham. Lady Grey walks beside a Beefeater behind them. The Durham's young son is last in the procession, followed by a dog. Lee, High Bailiff of Westminster rides on a horse behind them at the far right. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'.
