object type: Tall, thin, baluster shaped vase decorated with an image of two ladies in long dresses conversing in a rose garden. One dress is pale green, the other deep blue, the roses are pale pink with deep green leaves. The lady in the green dress wears a wide brimmed bonnet, tied beneath her chin with a ribbon. The figures and plants are outlined, and detail added, in black-brown. The image is set against a ground of green grass and blue sky. The inside of the neck is soft yellow. The underside is cream and glazed, within a foot-rim, as is the interior.
