object type: Tall circular vase with softly rounded sides rising to a wide mouth with slightly everted neck rim, thrown from red stoneware. Abstract pattern reminiscent of large vertical leaves around the body, picked out with incisions and patches of dark blue eggshell glaze. Band around the neck and interior glazed dark mottled blue. Underside turned to slight foot-rim, undecorated.
