object type: Clear glass. Thistle-shaped bowl with solid, facetted lower part; stem with facetted baluster over a knop cut with ovals; plain foot, domed in the centre where there is a rough pontil mark. Bowl wheel-engraved with two oval shields of arms, France and                       supported by angels with the Order of the Golden Fleece below and a helmet above. Above there is a canopy under a crown held up by two putti and flanked by flags bearing the same two arms. At the top thee is a ribbon inscribed 'MONT JOYE SAINT DENIS'.
